Who are Route 9 Autos?

Route 9 autos Ltd is based in Glasgow and dedicated to the importing, sourcing and selling rust free classics and spares.

Specialising in Volkswagen and Porsche but happy to import any make of car to order if we can find them.

Route 9 autos Ltd was founded by two car enthusiasts, Mark Gillian and David Campbell after a spark of inspiration while fitting Porsche brakes to a VW Beetle. Half way through the job the rain came on and by the time it had stopped a plan had been hatched to head for San Francisco in search of a rust free Karmann cabriolet. What we came back with was a 1965 VW splitscreen bus and when friends and fellow VW nuts saw how good the van was we were asked to import vans for them.

In the following three years and six vans we have become so good at finding and importing vehicles that we decided it was time to turn the hobby into a business and Route 9 autos ltd was born.
